This blog was started by me to share information about collecting, and selling of antique glass, toys, dolls, jewelry, model trains and more. It’s an antique collector’s place where you don’t need to be an expert in identifying collectible treasures but you can learn some pretty unique collector’s secrets that could come in handy when exploring an estate, flea-market, or garage sale.

Much of the knowledge I share does come from antique collecting professionals and since this information has helped me on many occasions I am sure you will find one of the blog posts here interesting especially if you are a collector, looking for unique antique finds to resell, or a personal collector more interested in finding and keeping antique treasures for your very own.

I’m retired and enjoy searching for antiques even though I usually find more than I have room for. I collect mostly Lionel Model Trains, most for my own collection and others to sell. In my searches I come across many other interesting items and even though many of them are not my cup of tea so-to-speak several people have written me with interest in coin collecting, glass, and antique furniture collecting.

Mentioning those things outside my own antique collecting interest and sharing information about them when I can has resulted in others sharing news about model railroad finds with me; so I figure that by helping each other home in on the items we (the people who read this blog) are looking for, we all get a little something out of it.
